Greenhough Vineyards (Nelson)
With this range of wines the focus is more on style than terroir. The emphasis is on fruit expression relatively uncomplicated by winemaking influences, balanced and ready for drinking upon release. Clonal selection is often an important factor in determining the particular wine style. Low yields and hand harvest remain the foundation of these wines - only Sauvignon Blanc is machine harvested in whole or in part. In general, these wines are blended from fruit grown on more than a single site
While the Apple Valley Riesling is a single vineyard wine and a clear expressions of place, it's identity derives equally from the sweeter, lighter alcohol style.
